In a recent announcement, New Zealand expressed its intention to provide aid to the Democratic Republic of the Congo to support efforts to mitigate the impact of the ongoing conflict in the region. This move comes amidst escalating tensions and violence that have plagued the country, causing immense suffering and displacement of civilians. The conflict in the Congo has been devastating, with numerous armed groups vying for power and control over the country's rich mineral resources. The situation has led to widespread human rights abuses, including killings, sexual violence, and forced displacement.
